Workshops Open for Registration
Monday, December 09, 2019
Posted December 18, 2019

The Lace Museum is proud to present four exciting workshops during four weekends between January and May 2020: Throwing the Modern Bobbin, TesseLace, Adapting Tatting Patterns and Turkish Needle Lace. Please visit our Workshops page for details and registration.

Also, we are happy to partner with Lacis Museum of Lace and Textiles in Berkeley, CA to promote their 4-day workshop in April for Clones Irish Crochet. Registration is live for this event! It’s the perfect gift for the lace maker in your life (which, of course, could also mean yourself)! In this captivating workshop series, skills will be developed in making the traditional motifs of small rose, large wild rose, shamrock, vine leaves and grapes, other motifs familiar in Irish Crochet which use the packing cord, as well as the unique Clones Knot filling stitch and edging. Details and registration information are in the pdf file linked here.

New Exhibit: Tea with the Duchess

When you visit The Lace Museum this winter, you'll step into an Edwardian drawing room where a certain English Duchess is hosting her holiday tea.  Our exhibit features elegant dresses (circa 1910), formal table settings, and an array of china and linens from our collection.

While you're here, please be sure to browse the museum's lace-covered ornaments and other treasures for sale in our gift shop.
